The # 1560 EZ Lube Chevy Powered Porter Race Car took on the challenge of “the longest off-road race in the United States” August 21-23. Starting near Vegas and racing 550 miles through Nevada finishing in Reno, Brad Etter, Dale Ebberts, Brian Etter, and Steve Elliott were the drivers and co-drivers throughout the race. Qualifying 3^rd out of 80 entries, they started behind BJ Baldwin and Andy McMillian.

They started out strong becoming first overall until Mile Marker 320 where they blew a CV on the outer passenger side. Due to the extensive damage from the CV they needed a new Hub. Luckily they were able to have a teammate walk a new Hub into where the car was broken down and they were able to get on there way. They finished 17^th in class and 73^rd overall out of 202.
