“The American Adventure Continues” at the BITD Bilek Racing Silver State “300” on September 26-28^th. EZ Lube #1560 Chevy Powered Porter Race Car driven and co-driven by Brad Etter, Dale Ebberts and Steve Elliott made it about 200 miles of the 300 mile loop until the alternator went bad.  Thinking they were out of the race a Class 8 Truck drove up next to them honking and threw them a new alternator.  Nothing like Christmas in September! They were able to continue the race, fighting the silt filled race course. The air filter clogged up multiple times starving the motor of air. The silt was so bad they could have filled a sandbox with what came out of the air filter. They decided that since they were not going to make it in the top 3 finishers they should save the motor for the next race. They had a DNF for this race, hopefully the decision to not finish will prove to be a good one come this November 20-23 when they take on the challenge of the Baja 1000.
